Who we are

This website is operated by Accorto Group Pty Ltd, trading as Accorto Electrical (ABN 14 681 964 867), an electrical maintenance and compliance contractor serving Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need in order to respond to you and to understand how the site is used.

Information you give us

When you submit an enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the service you selected, and anything you write in the message field. This is sent to us by email so we can respond to your enquiry. We do not take payments through this website, and we do not ask for financial information.

How you found us

Along with your enquiry we record how you arrived at the site — the search engine, website or advertisement that referred you, any campaign tag in the link you followed, and the first page you landed on. We use this to understand which of our marketing efforts actually help people find us. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not combined with information from any other source.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly how long for, the general type of device and browser, and an approximate location (usually city level, derived from your IP address). This is reported to us in aggregate.

Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, also keeps standard server logs and security records to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Advertising

This website does not currently run any advertising, remarketing or ad-tracking tags. If that changes, we will update this policy before those tags go live.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site will continue to work normally. Google also publishes a browser opt-out add-on if you would prefer Analytics not to collect data from you on any website.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and quote or carry out work you have asked about.
• To contact you about a job we are doing or have done for you.
• To understand which pages and marketing channels are useful, so we can improve the site.
• To keep records we are required to keep as a contractor, and to meet our safety and compliance obligations.

We do not send marketing emails to people who have only made an enquiry, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make this website work:

• Web3Forms — delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.
• Google Analytics — website usage measurement.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery and security.

These providers operate servers outside Australia, which means information submitted through this site may be stored or processed overseas, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the job, our records and our insurance and compliance obligations. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and is not identifiable to you personally. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, just ask.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@accorto.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with us directly using the contact details above. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Security

This site is served entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, though no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
